Freeski Training Team Sat & Sun – Ages 11-14
Our Training Team (TT) requires more commitment and is designed for the 11-14yr old athlete who wants to take their Freeski skills to the next level and try competition. The TT skis on both Saturdays and Sundays, or Sunday & Wednesday Afternoon, starting in mid December.
On-snow training focuses on all aspects of freeriding including slopestyle, halfpipe, and all-mountain freeriding skills. Riders work with coaching staff to learn new and perfect on snow tricks in and out of the park. They will also learn contest run design, competition strategies, and sportsmanship. Riders are strongly encouraged to participate in Fall trampoline/air awareness training and compete in the local USASA competitions on Mt.Hood. Coaching will be provided at competitions. All TT riders will participate in one end of the season Meadows USASA rail jam or slopestyle competition. Riders are grouped with others of similar age and ability.
Additional Training Opportunities
For Training Team (TT) skiers looking for more instruction based time in the park TT skiers are encouraged to join CSAT Freeski coaches on Thursday @ Meadows (4:30pm-7:30pm) and Friday @ Ski Bowl’s rope town for Rail/Slopestyle (5pm-8pm) training. These sessions are available for an additional fee. Van transport from Hood River to Meadows will be available most Thursdays.
