CSAT Coaches Receive Awards

June 30, 2019

CSAT coaches, Shana Sweitzer and Bekah Rottenburg received prestigious awards for their commitment to youth athletics.

Shana, CSAT’s Program Director and Head U14 Coach, was awarded “Outstanding Coach of the Year” for the 2018/2019 Ski Season from the Pacific Northwest Ski Association (PNSA). PNSA is the governing body for alpine ski racing in Oregon, Washington, and Northern Idaho. As the head coach for CSAT’s U14 Competition Team, Shana was directly responsible for helping CSAT athletes Sutton LeFevre, Izzy Bielen, Hanni Sreenan, and Soren Ulrich qualify to the 2019 Western Region Championships in Big Sky Montana to compete against athletes from all over the Western United States with only 10 other athletes from the representing PNSA.

Bekah SmileThis Spring, CSAT’s Head Mountain Bike Coach Bekah received “Coach of the Year” from the Portland Lacrosse League. In the winter months Bekah is the HRVHS Girls Varsity Team coach. Outside of Lacrosse season, for the last two years Bekah has been leading CSAT’s MTB program and is one of the premier enduro mountain bike racers in the Northwest and is familiar with picking up Pro Class podiums at the Cascadia Dirt Cup Series and at Trans-Cascadia. Prior to her racing and coaching career, Bekah played Division I lacrosse at Brown University, so it is no surprise she is also an awesome Lacrosse coach.
